The Need

Original Packaging
The Challenge
The client was looking for a white matte compostable stand up pouch for mushroom extract products. Their original packaging was a generic stand up pouch with 2 sides that contained plastic labels for all of their 6 product variants.
At first, we suggested the customer to cancel all label packaging and transition to our featured compostable pouch. After analyzing their needs through further discussions, we suggested it was not quite time yet to go fully compostable. The client wanted to keep the mushroom CMYK image on the bags and a resealable zipper that is powder-proof.
Our Solution
We offered a white kraft paper stand up pouch that consisted of a paper metalized laminate and plastic-reduced materials with an anti-power zipper. This provided great lines to sketch mushrooms as the background and provide high resolutions of the brand logo to look natural and stylish in design.
