It is a community hub rooted in faith, family, and connection. Since opening its doors in 2012 in Colorado Springs, Kawa has offered more than great coffee. It has created a welcoming space where hospitality and purpose shape every aspect of the experience. In recent years, Kawa expanded its vision by launching AWAKE Coffee Roasters, a retail line designed to bring their thoughtfully sourced beans to a broader audience.
As the business grew, so did the need for packaging that could reflect Kawa’s values, protect their product, and connect with customers beyond the café. When Kawa approached Enviro Flex Pack, they were using blank pouches with labels. They were ready to elevate their packaging while remaining true to their mission.

Early conversations with Karen, Kawa’s founder, revealed a treasure: original artwork created by her daughter. These illustrations captured the warmth, spirit, and energy of Kawa perfectly. We saw a unique opportunity to bring this art to life on custom packaging that would feel both personal and professional.
We helped Kawa transition to custom printed 12 ounce block bottom pouches that offer sturdy structure and ample space for branding, product information, and Karen’s daughter’s artwork. The pouches include a degassing valve to release carbon dioxide while preventing oxygen from entering, preserving freshness and aroma. A pocket zipper allows easy resealing, helping maintain quality after opening. This combination of thoughtful design and practical features aligns with Kawa’s commitment to quality and customer experience.
To support their immediate production needs, we also provided stock pouch options, allowing Kawa to remain agile as they scaled. Both stock and custom pouches offer high quality barrier protection consistent with Kawa’s values and customer expectations.
Today, Kawa Coffee’s packaging is more than a container. It is an extension of their brand’s heart and soul.
