Momemade was born from a need many dog owners know well. The founder, a devoted pet parent, wanted a better option for her dog, one free from grains, preservatives, and anything unnecessary. What began as a personal effort in the kitchen soon became a business rooted in care. Each treat is plant-based, allergen-friendly, and shaped with intention, guided by the same values that shaped its earliest recipes.
From Basic to Branded: The Packaging Evolution
In the beginning, Momemade relied on kraft paper bags with clear windows. The packaging was familiar and easy to use and served its purpose, but as the business grew, so did the need for something that better expressed the character of the brand, something that could quietly carry the story forward and reflect the values behind the product.

Packaging with Purpose
Our first step was to understand the product and the audience it served, so we sent compostable stand-up pouch samples in different sizes for Momemade to test. The feedback was clear. The pouch needed to feel natural in the hand, include a resealable zipper to maintain freshness, and a hang hole for easy display in small retail environments.

The final design wasn’t just functional—it reflected the essence of the Momemade brand. The pouch is made from certified compostable materials, staying true to the brand’s commitment to sustainability, while a clear display window gives customers a peek at the thoughtfully made treats inside. It strikes a balance between transparency and intention—literally.
